DESCRIPTION:The weather made it a game of 2 days.\nSaturday was pretty good conditions which started off with fog but that soon got burnt off.\nRyan and Martin certainly made the most of it.\nIsaac shot 3P first up and then went on to shoot the second prone detail where he showed that the practice paid off handsomely putting Martin into second position overall. \nIsaac\, Ivor and Alison then travelled over to Rotorua to shoot air. I’m advised that it was almost unbearably hot in the Rotorua range.\nPhotos to come. \nSunday opened up with rain and wind – the only explanation was that it was Tokoroa.\nThis still provided some good results\, this time Martin and Ryan changing positions in the lead with Ryan taking out overall for the weekend aggregate. \nThe Waikato club would like to thank all those that participated and helped to make this event run. \nregards\nAllison \n3P. DESCRIPTION:Day 2 \nGood evening all\, \n\nWe have now finished the first two days of Nationals. Our 3P women finished their nationals match and final this morning followed by the Benchrest South Island Championships in the afternoon. Results can be found here – Nationals Results Link\n\nTomorrow morning we begin with the South Island Prone Championships and the first of the three Benchrest Nationals Matches. Check your squadding here – Squadding \nAlison (The Coffee Lady)\, and Tracey (Tracey’s Grub on Hubs) will also be present tomorrow to fuel you up with hot food and caffeine. I know I am looking forward to a nice hot coffee during the first detail… It is going to be a cold and wet day tomorrow! \nAs a reminder\, ISSF Rule 6.2.5.1 and the COTS Range Standing Orders require that all shooters present on the mound wear appropriate hearing protection\, such as ear plugs\, ear muffs\, or similar protective equipment. This requirement applies to all shooters\, regardless of their current hearing status. Please note that removing hearing aids does not meet the requirement for hearing protection while actively shooting. \nIf you were shooting today without hearing protection\, please ensure that you bring and wear appropriate ear protection tomorrow while on the range. Hearing protection can be purchased at Bunnings (Airport location)\, which is open until 7:00pm this evening and from 6:30am tomorrow morning. The COTS Nationals Organising Committee wants all shooters to experience a great nationals and minimise any potential disruption.\n\n\nUpdated squadding lists have been posted on the board at the range and on the attached live link. Updated Squadding Link \n\nThe marking room found several overloads that were not reported to the range officer today. Please report any overloads or crossfires to the range officer at the time or during your next break to ensure the marking process runs smoothly.\n\nWe would like to thank the volunteers who have helped over the last few days. To ensure an event like Nationals runs smoothly\, we welcome volunteers to help and learn the marking process. An open door of the marking room indicates that markers are required.
