Titipounamu Competition

August 4th 2017

If you've ever wondered why the Titipounamu Competition is called that, it's named after the NZ native bird - the Rifleman.

This is an annual inter-Association shoot, with teams of 8 shooters being made up from A Grade and lower shooters only.  Format is 1 x 10 and 1 x 20 shot card, with results being sent off to Target Shooting Auckland by 31st August.

Last year 12 Association teams competed for the trophy, which was taken out by Waikato.  Waikato were only 3 points ahead of Manawatu, and Manawatu only beat out Taranaki on inners, so clearly this is a very hard-fought competition.  Good luck for all those shooting for the Titipounamu Trophy this year.
