Wairau / Marlborough Champs

Day 3 of the Wairau event was 3P day - with a few hardy souls contesting both the Mens and Womens event in kneeling, prone and standing postions. Unfortunately the spring winds continued to take their toll, with shooters particularly being buffeted around in the standing section.
Day 2 at Wairau saw even more challenging conditions. Winds switched from left to right and although it did go still at times, gusts were so strong in Squad 3 that a line of target changers was blown over!
The first day of the first Outdoor Champs of the season on Saturday 21 October saw some tricky winds to test us all. Well done to Grant for his excellent score, the result of shooting quickly enough to be finished before the cruel mid-match wind change.
Air rifle at Clubs of Marlborough ran well, congratulations to Jess Burgess-Smith for taking out the Women's Final.
