It is with sadness we advise of the passing of Murray Giles.

November 27th 2018

Rongotea SRC patron Murray Giles passed away on the morning of 25th November. He was in good spirits at the Rongotea prize giving night in early October, but went downhill quickly several weeks ago.

Murray started shooting at the Sanson SRC, before then switching to the Rongotea SRC when the club restarted in 1959. The club range was in the Te Kawau Rugby clubrooms until 1979 and Murray was very proud to be the one of original club members.

He is survived by his wife Margret and sons Douglas and Hamish.

There is a Memorial Service for Murray Giles at the Te Kawau Memorial Recreation Centre, Wye Street, Rongotea, on Thursday 29th November 2018, at 1.30pm.

Messages to the Giles Family, PO Box 233, Rongotea 4865.
