Marlborough SRA is sorry to advise that Merv Offord passed away on Monday, 8th April. Merv was heavily involved in Smallbore in Marlborough, beginning back in 1970, and continuing right through until about 2006. He served as Marlborough President for many years through the 1980's until 1994, as well as holding office in his home club Blenheim.
Merv represented the South Island in indoor shooting on four occasions, gaining NZ team selection in 1983 and 1986. He also represented the South Island in Outdoor shooting on thirteen occasions, and qualified for the NZ Dewar team in 1983.
Both of Merv's children followed their father into our sport; daughter Kim Bishell is still shooting. Several grandchildren have also competed over the years.

Merv's funeral will be held Friday 12th April, 10:30am at the Sowman Chapel. Shooters, wear blazers please.
