Please find attached a copy of the 2025 Smallbore Prone Rifle Postal International Match results. These results have been issued without the Randle scores; I hope to provide an updated version once these have been obtained from the USA.
2025 proved to be a difficult year for the Great British postal service, as both the GB Drew and GB Wakefield teams had cards or match stickers lost or delayed in the post, resulting in missing scores for both teams. It is due to these issues, and the subsequent discussions, that the results have been issued later than usual. Hopefully, things will run considerably more smoothly for the 2026 matches.
In light of the friendly spirit in which these competitions are contested, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA all agreed that, in order to maintain the competitive nature of these events, GB would be permitted to utilise their reserve scores where scores were lost due to postal issues, despite this not technically being allowed. On behalf of all GB teams, I would like to thank Australia, New Zealand, and the USA for their excellent sportsmanship.
A summary of the results is below. Congratulations are owed to GB for their victories in the Dewar and Wakefield matches, to the USA for their victories in the Drew Junior Team of 10 and Team of 3 Junior Men matches, and to Australia for their win in the Drew Team of 3 Junior Women match. A special mention should also go to New Zealand, who, for the first time since 1994, have entered the Dewar Match.
I will liaise with the NSRA Competitions Department in the coming weeks regarding awards for 2025, and any outstanding awards from 2019 through to 2024, and will provide an update in due course.
