Use this event as a leadup to the National competition which will be held at both Whanganui and Christchurch.

Dear Schools Postal Challenge co-ordinators,
It is with pleasure that I can let you know that for this year’s competition, your scores will be entered directly on to specially prepared spreadsheets, similar to other 2026 TSNZ competitions.
 
Access is granted to those receiving this email, however, some of your email addresses may be blocked by school email protocols. It is strongly suggested that you let me know a .gmail, .hotmail, or .xtra address for you to enter your scores.
 
After the closing date – 5pm on 31st August access will be turned off and the scores will be collated and results will be announced by TSNZ in due course.
 
There are dropdown lists for the grades, Girls Boys Mixed and Rest, and for the Girl, Boy or Rest. Please choose the correct dropdown for each team member.

2026 Inter-School Match

In 2026 The Inter-School match will be held in both Whanganui and Christchurch in an effort to reduce costs for teams. This is competition follows on from the TSNZ Challenge match with the athletes at one of the two ranges. All members of the team must be shooting in a jacket and sling. There will be a live link for results and video calls for the announcements of Island and New Zealand Teams.

Inter-School entry form

TSNZ is running a competition for the best design to be used on the merchandise available at this match. Come up with a logo that can be screen printed onto clothing that lets people know the wearer was there. Get your entries into TSNZ by the 15th of July with the winner getting free merchandise with their logo on it.

Event Programme Evacuation Plan

The North Island and South Island Teams will be announced around 2:30pm and the Inter-Island match will start around 3:00pm. The New Zealand team will be announced after the Inter-Island match has finished. Athletes that don’t make the New Zealand Team will shoot again on Sunday as part of the Plate Match.

 

The 2025 Match will be held in Palmerston North over the 6th and 7th of September.

This is a shoulder to shoulder match for teams of 3 shooters.
