Last week we shot Round 2 of the TSNZ NDC 2026, and the standout of the night with a huge score of 4994.266, some 23 points ahead of the next team on the table, was the Wellington Tigers, with Bex Baines shooting a 300.24, and Pippa Taylor a 200.9. These women are backed up by a strong team, who work together to have me run out of superlatives.

Also shooting a Junior 200.16 is Hugo Smith of the Hutt Valley Hawks.

Continuing on from the last round of trainspotting, returning shooters from a long ‘retirement’, I spotted Roger Harvey, a double Gold medalist in the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games, shooting for the Eastern Jedi, posting a score of 290.12 for his first outing in NDC. I am reliably told that he borrowed a jacket from Robbie McNair – lefties are generous that way – and while it looks like he may be a little rusty, he has not lost his touch. Welcome back Roger.

There has been a matter raised where a shooter completed their match after the 9:30 cut off, and was reported by their co-ordinator on the night. The matter has been referred to the Exec for a ruling. Today, that ruling has confirmed that the out of time shooter will have the last 4 shots of their match annulled. This makes no difference to the outcome of the match, as their opponents had a clean sweep already.

Please make sure that your last squads are completed well before the 9:30pm time for their last shots to be fired.
