We have now finished the first two days of Nationals. Our 3P women finished their nationals match and final this morning followed by the Benchrest South Island Championships in the afternoon. Results can be found here – Nationals Results Link

Tomorrow morning we begin with the South Island Prone Championships and the first of the three Benchrest Nationals Matches. Check your squadding here – Squadding

Alison (The Coffee Lady), and Tracey (Tracey’s Grub on Hubs) will also be present tomorrow to fuel you up with hot food and caffeine. I know I am looking forward to a nice hot coffee during the first detail… It is going to be a cold and wet day tomorrow!

As a reminder, ISSF Rule 6.2.5.1 and the COTS Range Standing Orders require that all shooters present on the mound wear appropriate hearing protection, such as ear plugs, ear muffs, or similar protective equipment. This requirement applies to all shooters, regardless of their current hearing status. Please note that removing hearing aids does not meet the requirement for hearing protection while actively shooting.

If you were shooting today without hearing protection, please ensure that you bring and wear appropriate ear protection tomorrow while on the range. Hearing protection can be purchased at Bunnings (Airport location), which is open until 7:00pm this evening and from 6:30am tomorrow morning. As this store is conveniently located near the range and there is sufficient time to obtain suitable protection before the first detail at 9am, we will be expecting full compliance tomorrow.

For safety reasons, shooters who are on the mound without appropriate hearing protection will be asked to step off until they are properly equipped.
