Individuals can join Target Shooting NZ as shooters or as social members. The Membership categories are:
Full - over 21 and under 65
Junior - under 21 on 31st December in the joining year
Super - over 65 on 1st January in the joining year
Family - related to and living with a Full Member
Restricted - shoots up to 6 times a year at Club level only
Social - a non-shooter
You do not have to have a Firearms Licence to join TSNZ as a member, however you must be a member of a TSNZ Club.
If you sign up directly with TSNZ as a new Member you must state what Club you belong to, and this will be checked with the Club prior to your Membership being confirmed.

A TSNZ Membership form can be posted or emailed directly to the TSNZ Office, or given to your Club Secretary at the start of the Season.

When a Membership Form is received by the TSNZ Office directly or via the online form you will received an email confirming this. If you do not receive the email within 1-2 days please feel free to contact the Office to check the situation - targetshootingnz@xtra.co.nz
New TSNZ Members will receive a Membership Card and will gain access to the MEMBERS section of our website.
Membership is then renewed annually, with Indoor Shooter renewals due by 30th April, and Outdoor/Air Shooter renewals due by 31st December
There are many benefits to having your smallbore target shooting Club affiliated to TSNZ. These include
* Full support of TSNZ in all shooting matters
* Ability to host TSNZ competitions

* Ability to take part in feedback and surveys to help shape TSNZ's future path

* Range Officer training and certification
* Range inspections and certification
* Access to TSNZ's group of Ammunition Agents NZ-wide for purchase of ammunition and targets
If a Club wishes to affiliate to TSNZ they need to have at least three Members; to have a Club structure including President, Secretary and Treasurer; to have the Club's own bank account; to shoot at a range which is either certified by TSNZ or able to be certified following inspection; to become affiliated to their closes TSNZ Association; and to be willing to conduct their shooting under the TSNZ Constitution and Rules.
