The East Otago Smallbore Rifle Assn was recently saddened by the passing of Don and Marion Lawrence.
Marion passed away on August 20th. She started shooting at the West Taieri Club and was a Life Member of the club. She Represented the South Island Ladies Team from 1994 to 2003, and was in a New Zealand Ladies Team 5 times.
Don passed away on September 12th. He was a member of the HSA Club where he gave much of his time coaching new and young members. Don and Marion both Represented East Otago in various Representative Teams.
Don and Marion gave many hours of their time for the betterment of Shooting in East Otago.
Don and Marion’s family celebrated their passing with private funerals.
